Where Kids can grow in God's love

At Divine Shepherd, we welcome all children and their families to walk in faith together and grow closer to God and to one another. Our mission in children’s ministry is to reach and teach children of all ages how to Love God, Share Jesus and Serve People. Our goal is to come alongside parents and caregivers by providing resources and opportunities for building the faith of the children in their care. 

Sundays for DS Kids

 10AM KIDS CHURCH

After worshiping with parents, kids meet for a God-centered, age-appropriate Bible lesson from the Gospel Project for Kids. This curriculum goes through the Bible in three years, connecting each Bible story to the Gospel of Jesus. After the Large Group time, kids head to review the story with games, crafts, and discussion, all designed to give understanding to the day's lesson in various ways. Ages 3 through 5th grade are welcome!

Nursery is available for 6 months through age 3 from 9:15am to the conclusion of the 10am worship service.

SUMMER FOR KIDS

Vacation Bible School

Join us for a Vacation Bible School! Kids will be challenged as they discover that God’s truth never changes, everyone needs Jesus, and learn to speak the truth in love. Adventure awaits each day as kids explore tide pools, spot orcas, fly kites, and watch the mighty waves crash up against the immovable Breaker Rock!! This VBS is for incoming 1st through 5th graders (Fall 2024 Grade) with limited capacity for those currently in preschool. 

Lego Camp

Upcoming 1st through 5th graders are invited to join us on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday mornings, July 8-10 from 8:30-11:30 am. Come and build all morning with LEGOs. Recreate scenes from the Bible and other fun challenges. There will be creative free-build time as well. Snacks included. Cost is $30.

3 YEAR OLDS TO 5TH GRADE

Midweek for Kids

Midweek for Kids is for children from 3 year olds to 5th grade and meets on Wednesday nights from 6pm to 7pm. 

Childcare is available for ages 6 months through age 3 in the nursery.
