  • Sunday Morning Adult Study

"Stepping Out of the Boat with Simon Peter"
    Sunday Mornings @ 9:15 - Luther Chapel

Summary: We will follow Simon Peter’s amazing and inspiring path from Galilean fisherman to disciple of Christ, church leader and martyr for the faith.

About the teacher: Doug Morton is a retired LCMS pastor who has a passion for teaching. He has not slowed down since retiring from parish ministry, having served churches in Missouri and Iowa. He currently serves as Dean of Theological Education and Coordinator for the Lutheran Church of South Sudan in North America. He also serves on the Certificate Faculty of the Institute of Lutheran Theology, Brookings, SD, with a focus on Historical and Systematic Theology and Biblical Theology. Most of his teaching is done online these days, but he travels to Africa and South Dakota as needed in his roles. He and his wife Nancy have made their home in Omaha and their church home at Divine Shepherd. We welcome them into our midst.
