1. What ages are part of the youth group?
The ages for the youth group are 6th grade to college. We divide the youth up into a Jr. High group (grades 6-8), Sr. High group (grades 9-12), and college age (post – high school – 21 years old).
2. What is happening in youth group at Divine Shepherd?
There is a lot going on with the youth groups here but in order to let you know I will divide them up into groups.

3. What is CDT (Christian Discipleship Training)?
CDT is our confirmation program for youth in grades 6-8. The program is set up so that youth get to choose the classes that they want so they can learn about Jesus and who he is. Each year the youth will take a Bible History class, a Catechism class, and then two electives. The program is designed so that the youth will learn what it means to be a Disciple of Christ and how they can apply that to their lives as a Lutheran.
4. How can I sign my youth up for CDT?
Signing up for CDT is needed. If you go to the home page of the church website (www.dsomaha.org) there is an icon on the front page that will guide you to the registration and payment pages.
5. Do we need to sign up for other things in youth group?
No. There is no reason to register for anything else but CDT. However, if you are coming to an event at the church for the youth (lock-in, Dare2Sahre, or something else), you will need to fill out the wavier that is located on the information page of the youth area.
6. What times does youth group meet?
CDT is from 6:30 PM till 8 PM on Wednesday nights
Sunday morning Bible Class is from 9:30 AM till 10:30 AM
Sr. High Growth Groups is from 6:30 till 8:30 PM on Sunday nights
7. If I am not a member of Divine Shepherd can my youth still come and participate?
YES!!!!!! We want to have your youth involved with us. I ask that you call or contact me so that I know you are coming, but we always want guests, visitors, and friends to come.
