Do the people around Divine Shepherd Lutheran Church know who we are and what we stand for? Starting in June of 2009, we will canvas our area to let our neighbors know that we care about them and want to help them grow in their faith. According to George Barna, a Christian research analyst, there are ten homes on a given block. Two families will go to church and have a relationship with Christ. Two families have fallen away from church and the other six have no relationship at all. In other words, eight out of the ten families have no relationship with God.
With the power of the Holy Spirit, God can use us to reach out to our neighbors and share His message of love and forgiveness. He will bless us as we step out in faith and invite them to worship, Bible study, Sunday School, our Little Lamb Preschool, or one of the many fellowship activities at Divine Shepherd.
